Teacher With Special Assignments - Small Group Assessments and Intervention

 

Essential Functions

Responsible for instructing scholars using the classical model of learning combined with data-driven decision-making. Will support the school with the  differentiation of needs and behaviors within various grade levels.

Prepare materials and instructional resources for use during intervention blocks based on the classical model, as guided by the Leman Academy curriculum through small group interventions and the ELAT Grant.

 

Works alongside in shepherding a group of teachers in areas of academic excellence, effective intervention and teaching strategies, classical education, Charlotte Mason techniques, and Dr. Leman’s philosophies that are congruent to our mission statement and READ Act Interventions.

 

Supports and works with ESS Case Manager in providing Interventions for scholars.

 

Bullet Point Summary:

  • Provide small group assessments and interventions - approximately 51% of total time

  • READ Plan and ELAT Grant support

  • Support Interventionist and provide READ Act interventions 

  • Help train teachers and write READ Plans

  • Scholar Study Team support 

  • Provide interventions under ESS case manager’s delegation

  • Data analysis (gaps in curriculum and skills)

  • Preparing and reporting accurate and timely data for internal and external regulatory purposes; assist in the preparation of data for local, state, and federal reports.

  • Maintain professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, and other professional opportunities.

  • Maintain confidentiality per FERPA.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
